½ cup apple juice
1 TBS of Worcestershire sauce
⅓ cup brown sugar
⅓ cup honey

The amazing results of this recipe can be achieve using a smoker grill, gas grill or even an oven. If you use a gas grill, try to add as much smoke as possible, and if you use an oven consider adding some liquid smoke near the end.

Remove the thin silverskin membrane from the bone side of the ribs.

In a small bowl, combine 1/3 cup yellow mustard, ¼ cup apple juice and 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire Sauce. Spread the mixture thinly on both sides of the ribs. Season with your favorite rub.

After preheating (warm up) set the temperature to 180 degrees and cook for 3 hours meat side up.

At the end of 3 hours, transfer the ribs to a rimmed baking sheet and increase the grill or oven temperature to 225 degrees.

Tear off four sheets of heavy-duty aluminum foil and place the ribs on the foil. Be sure to pull up the sides to keep the liquid enclosed. Sprinkle 1/3 cup brown sugar, 1/3 cup of honey and a ¼ cup of apple juice on both sides of the ribs. Lay foil on top of the ribs, crimp the edges and place the ribs back on the grill (or oven shelf) meat side down. Cook for an additional 2 hours until the internal temperature reaches 205 degrees.

Remove the foil and brush on your favorite BBQ sauce. Put the ribs back on the grill until the sauce “tightens”, probably 30 minutes or so.

Let the ribs rest for a few minutes before serving and “enjoy.”
