6 medium onion finely diced
5 - 6 lb brisket
1 cup ketchup
1/2 cup Chili sauce
1 T minced garlic
4 garlic cloves thinly sliced
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp season pepper
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 envelop onion soup mix
1/2 cup cider vinegar

Directions:
Directions:
Line an oven proof pan (disposable aluminum pan works too) with diced onions.
Mix salt, pepper, and minced garlic. Rub on brisket.
Put sliced garlic into slits in the brisket and lay brisket on top of onions.
Mix ketchup, onion soup, Chili sauce, vinegar, and brown sugar. Pour over brisket.
Cover with foil.
Bake in a 325 oven for three hours.
Slice after cooling.
