BBQ Apple Ribs Recipe

2 racks pork spareribs 1 c. applesauce 1/3 c. maple syrup 1/3 brown sugar 1/4 c. apple cider vinegar
1 16oz. bottle BBQ sauce 1 large onion, diced 1 apple cored and sliced (round) 1 tsp. cinnamon
salt and pepper to taste

Cut ribs into portion sized sections. Place ribs around sides and bottom of crock pot, meaty side toward the crock pot. Sprinkle cinnamon over apple slices. Spread apple slices over ribs.
Pulse in blender until smooth, applesauce, maple syrup, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar,
1/2 bottle of BBQ sauce and diced onions. Salt and pepper taste. Pour over ribs saving 1/2 cup.
Cook on high 4-5 hours or on low about 8. Remove from crockpot and brush with the 1/2 cup of sauce.

For crispy ribs transfer to baking sheet and broil for a few minutes.
