Spareribs (I have also used baby back) Figure 1 pound per person
salt
pepper

Baste:
1/4 cup liquid smoke
1/4 cup water
1 1/2 T cornstarch

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven 325º
Salt and pepper ribs. Place on rack in roasting pan. Bake around 4 hours or until about 3/4 way done.

1/2 hour before grilling, baste with liquid smoke mixture. Let penetrate into meat.

Put on hot grill to finishing cooking, basting with barbecue sauce and flipping a couple times.
 

Barbecue Sauce


Ingredients:

1 cup ketchup
1 cup water
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup vinegar
1/4 cup liquid smoke
1 T celery seed
1 tsp chili powder
1 tsp salt
dash of pepper
few drops of tabasco or hot sauce of choice
