Ingredients: 20 whole fresh jalapenos, 2-3 inches in size 2 bricks of cream cheese, softened Parmesan cheese garlic powder 1 pound of bacon, sliced into thirds BBQ sauce, any brand you like

Directions: |
Directions:Cut the jalapenos in half length-wise (I would use gloves). With a spoon, remove the seeds and the white membrane (the source of the heat; leave a little if you like things HOT).
Add some garlic powder and Parmesan cheese (amounts to your liking) to the cream cheese and spoon the cream cheese mixture into each jalapeno half. Wrap the jalapeno with a 1/3 slice of bacon and secure with a toothpick through the middle. Brush on BBQ sauce.
Bake on a pan at 375º for 20-25 minutes. You don't want the bacon to shrink so much that it starts to squeeze the jalapeno. If after 20 minutes the bacon doesn't look brown enough, just turn on the broiler for a couple of minutes to finish them off.
Serve immediately or they're also great at room temperature. |
