Ingredients:
Ingredients:
3 1/2 to 4 pounds beef short ribs (I would use almost twice this much as the bone takes up most of the weight)
1 1/2 c. water
1 medium onion, chopped
1 tbsp. vinegar
Sauce:
1/2 c. ketchup part BBQ sauce
1/4 c. chopped union
2 garlic cloves, minced
2 tsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper

Directions:
Directions:
In a large pan, combine ribs, water, onion and vinegar; bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 1 hour turning ribs occasionally. Drain. Place ribs in a single layer in an ungreased 13x9x2 baking dish. Combine sauce ingredients, spoon over ribs. Cover and bake at 325º for 1 1/4 hours or until the meat is tender.
