{"id":4797,"date":"2025-04-09T08:08:25","date_gmt":"2025-04-09T12:08:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.familycookbookproject.com\/theblog\/?p=4797"},"modified":"2024-10-04T10:19:43","modified_gmt":"2024-10-04T14:19:43","slug":"pro-tip-allow-contributor-print-ordering","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.familycookbookproject.com\/theblog\/2025\/04\/pro-tip-allow-contributor-print-ordering.html","title":{"rendered":"Pro Tip: Allow Contributor Print Ordering"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>You can allow your contributors to order printed cookbooks on their own instead of having you as editor order bulk and distribute to others.\u00a0 One note:\u00a0 as with all printing, the more copies ordered at one time, the better price per book.\u00a0 If your contributors order 1 or 2, the per book price could be much higher than if you order 10 or 20.<\/p>\n<p>To enable contributor cookbook ordering, go to Editor Activities&gt;Printing &amp; Publishing.\u00a0 Click the &#8220;Contributor\u00a0Ordering Settings&#8221; shortcut.\u00a0 Then select the options you want available to your contributors:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1. None &#8211; cannot order. Select this if you do not wish anyone other than you as editor to order printed cookbooks<\/li>\n<li>2. Selected versions below only. Select this to allow contributors to print any prior version of your cookbook that has been printed. They cannot order a &#8220;current version&#8221; of the cookbook.<\/li>\n<li>3. Current cookbook only. Select this to allow contributors to print out the current cookbooks &#8220;as is&#8221; in its current state and settings any time. They will be required to run a cookbook preview first to update the system.<\/li>\n<li>4. Current cookbook or selected versions below.
