8 C. water
2 lbs. beef cubes (or canned beef)
3 white rose potatoes
4 large carrots
4 stalks celery
1 pkg. frozen corn
1 pkg. frozen lima beans
1 T. sugar
1 T. hot sauce
1/4 tsp. chili powder
4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. pepper
2 bay leaves
2 tsp. Worchestershire sauce
2 medium onions
1/4 C. ketchup
1 pint tomato juice
1 ham hock
dash of red pepper
2 cans whole peeled tomatoes (1 lb. each)

Put into large pot: ham hock, water, tomato juice and all
seasonings. Cover and simmer for 2 hours. Add vegetables. Cover and simmer for 1 hour. Uncover and simmer for 1 hour.
