1 med. head of shredded iceberg lettuce
1 bunch (5 or so) green scallions, sliced
1 8oz can of water chestnuts
1 C. red or green bell pepper
2 C sliced celery
11 oz. package of frozen peas
2 C. mayonnaise
2 tsp. sugar
1/2 C. grated Parmesan cheese
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
3/4 lb bacon, fried crisp and crumbled
3 hard boiled eggs, chopped
2 tomatoes, sliced in wedges

In 4-qt serving dish layer first 5 ingredients. Break
apart frozen peas and spread in a layer. Spread mayo
over peas to the edges of the serving dish. Sprinkle
spices, bacon, and chopped eggs on the top. Seal with
plastic wrap and refrigerate for 4 to 24 hours. Garnish
with tomato wedges before serving.

Personal Notes:
This recipe seems very dated to me, with
ingredients like iceberg lettuce and unabashed use of
mayonnaise. That being said, I love the combination
of flavors, and I don't think updating it would improve it.
