1-2 cloves garlic
2 lbs baking potatoes, peeled
1 c grated gruyere or comte cheese
1 c heavy cream
1 tsp salt

Directions:
Directions:
Bake 350. Smash garlic on cutting board and rub garlic around inside of shallow, 6-cup porcelain baking dish, layer ½ of potatoes in bottom of dish. Sprinkle with ½ of cheese and half of cream. Sprinkle with salt, layer rest of potatoes, sprinkle rest of cheese and cream on top. Bake uncovered 50- 60 min until cheese is brown and crusted.
