9 c. water
3 lb. unpeeled medium shrimp
1 (7 oz) package vermicelli
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. flour
1 c. chicken broth
1 c. whipping cream
4 oz. shredded swiss cheese
1/4 c. dry sherry OR 1 c. white wine
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 can sliced mushrooms
1/4 c. grated parmesan sheese

Cook vermicelli according to directions
Melt butter in heavy sauce pan over low heat and add flour - stir until smooth - cook 1 minute, stirring constantly. Gradually add broth and cream, cook until thick and bubbly. Add swiss cheese, sherry (or wine) and pepper - stir until cheese melts. Remove from heat - add shrimp pasta and mushrooms. Put into casserole dish, top with parmesan cheese and bake at 350 for 20 - 30 minutes
