1 c persimmon pulp
1/2 tsp soda (dissolve in pulp)
1 c sugar
1/2 c butter or shortening
1 egg, beaten
21/2 c flour
1 tsp cinnamon
½ tsp cloves
½ tsp nutmeg
½ tsp baking powder
1 c nuts
1 c raisins

Do first before starting, mix persimmon pulp and soda, let set. Cream butter and sugar, add beaten egg, then raisins, nuts, persimmons pulp. Add dry ingredients. Drop by spoonful onto cookie sheet. Bake at 325 degrees for 15 minutes.
