1/4 c butter 1 c sugar 2 eggs - beaten salt 1/2 c milk 1 1/2 c flour 3 tsp baking powder
Mix in order given. In the bottom of a skillet place 1 c brown sugar and 2 T butter. Caramelize this and then place a layer of fruit (pineapple or peaches) over it. Pour batter over this. Bake 45 minutes. Turn out as soon as it is baked.
This recipe was a big favorite in the Smith home. When peaches are in season it is outstanding.
