2 Onions coarsley chopped.
8 lbs. whole brisket.
4 cloves garlic, crushed.
Freshly ground black pepper to taste.
1 T. Worchestershire sauce.
2 envelopes onion soup.
1 (12 oz) bottle of chili sauce.
1 (12 oz) can of beer.
8 carrots.

Preheat oveb to 350 degrees.

In roasting pan with tight fitting cover, arrange onions
evenly in bottom of pan. Rub brisket with garlic and place on onions.

IUn order, sprinkle pepper Worcestershire sauce, soup mix, chili sauce and beer over brisket. Place carrots around the sides.

Bake, covered, for 45 minutes. Reduce oven temperature to 275 and brasie for 2 hours and 15 minutes or until tender.

Cool brisket. Slice against the grain and arrange with carrots in ovenproof platter covered with aluminum foil.

Place 2 cups cooked onions and pan juices in food processor bowl or blender; process or blend until smooth. Return mixture to pan and mix with pan juices. Reheat,

Pour some gravy over brisket platter and serve remainder in gravy boat.
