Pastry for 2-crust pie
1 1/4 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1/3 c. flour
2 c. fresh strawberries
2 c. (1 in. pieces) rhubarb
2 tbsp. butter or regular margarine

1. Combine 1 1/4 c. sugar, salt and flour
2. Arrange half of strawberries and rhubarb in pastry-lined 9 in. pie pan.
3. Sprinkle with half of sugar mixture.
4. Repeat with remaining fruit and sugar mixture; dot with butter.
5. Adjust top crust and flute edges.
6. Brush top of pie with cold water and sprinkle on 1 tbsp. sugar. Cuts vents
7. Bake in hot oven (425 degrees) for 40-50 minutes or until rhubarb is tender and crust is browned.
