1 tb. salad oil, 4 lbs. beef short ribs, 1 bag carrots, cut in 1" pieces, 2 large sliced onions, 2 tb. all purpose flour, 1 can Italian stewed tomatoes, 1 1/2 tsp. salt, 2 cans Great Northern Beans, drained and rinsed, chopped parsley, grated lemon peel

3 1/4 hours before serving, brown ribs in oil. Remove. Add carrots and onion and brown.In a cup stir flour with 1 c. water. Return ribs to pan and stir in flour mixture, tomatoes and salt. Heat to a boiling. Cover and bake at 350º for 2 hours. Stir occasionally. Stir in beans and bake 30 minutes longer. Sprinkle with parsley and lemon
