1/2 can pineapple un-drained
1 lb. raisins
1 lb. candied fruit
1/4 lb chopped almonds
1/2 lb chopped walnuts
1 lemon-sliced thin
1/2 pkg. currants
11/2 lbs. margarine
1 pt. eggs subst. (9 eggs)
3 c sugar
41/2 c flour
1 t cloves
11/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp baking powder

Directions:

Mix pineapple, raisins, candied fruit, almonds, walnuts, lemon slices, currants and top with sherry and let stand 5 days, stirring daily. After 5th day cream together margarine, eggs, sugar, flour, baking powder and spices. Add to fruit mix, bake 300 degrees. 1-l/2 hours. Check with straw to test. This makes a very large cake or can make into loaves, adjust the length of time to bake. (I do not use citron―only candied red and green cherries or red and green pineapple)
