½ C. butter
1 C. sugar
½ C. light cream
1 tsp. vanilla
½ tsp. rum extract
dash of nutmeg.

Directions:
Heat together over very low heat for 10-15 minutes, the butter, sugar and cream. (You can substitute half & half or evaporated milk for light cream.)
Stir occasionally until blended and slightly thickened. Do not boil. Add flavorings and serve hot.
