1 cup lard (shortening)
2 eggs
1 cup cold coffee
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. cinnamon
3 3/4 cup flour
1 12-oz pkg. chocolate chips

These cookies, or sorghum, or pineapple, or oatmeal raisin cookies, were always in the cookie tin when we visited Grandpa and Grandma (Walter and Arlie). If for some reason, there were no cookies, there would be tootsie rolls in the cabinet.
