2 c sugar
½ c butter
2 unbeaten eggs
4 coarsely grated apples
2 c flour
2 tsp soda
2 tsp cinnamon
1 ½ tsp nutmeg
1/2 tsp salt.
Topping:
1 c chopped nuts,
1 c brown sugar
2 T melted butter

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter & sugar, add eggs & beat until fluffy. Stir in apples. Add dry ingredients. Don’t overbeat. Pour into a 9X13 in pan. Sprinkle topping over batter and press with back of spoon. Bake
at 350 degrees for 45 min.
Make Strudel ahead and allow to mellow two days in fridge or freezer. Serve warm, topped with whipped cream or ice cream.
