1 3/4 c. quick oats
1 3/4 c. flour, divided
3/4 c. brown sugar, divided and packed
1/2 t baking soda
1/4 t salt (optional)
3/4 c butter, softened
1 - 12 oz pkg. semisweet chocolate chips
1 c. chopped nuts
1 c. carmel topping

1. Combine oats, 1 1/2 c. flour, sugar, baking soda, and salt in large bowl.
2. Stir in butter, mix well.
3. Reserve 1 c. of oat mix. Press remaining into a greased 13 x 9 pan.
4. Bake 350 degrees for 12 - 15 minutes.
5. Sprinkle baked crust with morsels and nuts.
6. Mix careml toping with remaining 1/4 c. of flour. Drizzle over chips and nuts leaving a 1/4" edge.
7. Sprinkle with reserved 1 c. of oat mix.
8. Bake 18-22 minutes more.
9. Place in fridge to firm.
