Apple Pudding with Butter Sauce Recipe

2 c. sugar
c. softened butter (margarine)
2 eggs
2 c. flour
2 tsp. soda
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
4 c. grated apples (9)
1 c. chopped nuts (optional)
1 c. raisins (optional)


c. butter (use real butter)
c. white sugar
c. brown sugar
c. half n half or cream

Cream together sugar and margarine, add eggs. Sift flour, cinnamon, soda, nutmeg and salt. Add apples raisins and/or nuts. Bake in greased 13 X 9 pan for 35 minutes at 350.
Melt butter, stir in sugars and cream. Bring to boil stir constantly, reduce heat simmer uncovered for 15 minutes. Serve over pudding with whipped cream.
