2 eggs (well beaten)
1 c. sugar
4 heaping tsp. cocoa
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. each of: nutmeg, cinnamon, allspice, mace
1/2 c. coffee
1 1/2 c. flour

Mix all ingredients in a medium sized bowl.
Pour into muffin tins.
Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.

(These are great as a snack served warm with butter!!)

Gordy's mother used to make these cupcakes every year as an extra treat for his birthday. His sister Jean has taken over the tradition, and presents the treats to him in a shoe box every December 14th.
