1 6oz pkg Nestles Semi-sweet mint flavored chocolate morsels
2/3 C shortening
1/2 C sugar
1 egg
1/4 C corn syrup
1 3/4 C flour
2 t baking soda
1 t cinnamon
1/4 t salt

Directions:
Directions:
Melt chocolate morsels. Combine shortening,sugar, egg in bowl and beat until creamy. Blend in melted chocolate and corn syrup. Sift together dry ingredients and gradually add to chocolate mixture. Stir until combined. Shape dough into balls using 1 level
tablespoon. Roll in sugar and place 3 inches apart on cookie sheet. Bake 350 degrees for 15 minutes.

It is now difficult to find mint flavored morsels. Add about 2 t mint extract to regular morsels if this is the case. These were our family's favorite Christmas cookie. I only made them at Christmas.
