6 c water
6 tea bags (regular black tea)
3 cinnamon sticks
6 whole cloves
1 ½ star anise
¾ tsp ginger
¾ tsp cardamom
6 peppercorns

7½ c milk
1¼ c sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Bring to boil in large pot the first 8 ingredients (all but milk and sugar)
Boil for 5 min on medium heat.
Add milk and sugar and bring to boiling point again. Be sure it has boiled about a minute, then sieve out the spices. Ready to serve!
When doubling or tripling the recipe heat the milk and sugar in another pot while heating the tea and water mixture. Speeds things up a lot.
