One package piecrust mix
Two medium apples
4 tablespoons brown sugar dark
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
2 teaspoons butter
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup water
1 tablespoon butter

Directions:
Directions:
Prepare pastry according to directions on package. Roll out on lightly floured board into rectangle 14 x 10” and 1/8 inch thick. Cut into four rectangles 5 x 7. Cut apples in half lengthwise, core and pare, place 1/2 cut side down on one end of each rectangle. Mix brown sugar and nutmeg, sprinkle 1 tablespoon of mixture on each apple half, diet with 1/2 teaspoon butter.
Fold pastry over Apple press edges together, turn under 1/4 inch on the open sides and seal with edge of teaspoon. Cut gaseous in tops and placed in greased baking dish or pan 8 x 8 x 2 in moderate oven 375°.
Combine sugar and water with 1 tablespoon butter, boil for three minutes to make syrup, when turnovers begin to brown about 20 minutes spoon half the syrup over and bake an additional 10 minutes. Baste with remaining syrup and bake till browned a total of 35 to 40 minutes in all. Remove at once to serving dishes
