5 to 6 cups sliced apples
1 cup sifted all purpose flour
1/2 to 1 cup sugar, depending on tartness of apples and sweetness desired
1 teaspoon baking powder
3/4 teaspoon salt
One unbeaten egg
Have 1/3 cup melted and cooled shortening and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
Please your apples in a 6 x 10 baking dish,
Mix together with fork until crumbly and sprinkle over the apples, the flour sugar baking powder salt and unbeaten egg.

Pour the melted shortening and cinnamon mixture over the top of the apple crisp.
Bake for 30 to 40 minutes in a 350° oven. Served warm with cream on top
