10-12 (6) Lasagna noodles
4 qtrs.. Boiling water
1 Tbsp. cooking oil
1 Tbsp. salt

Meat Sauce

2 lbs. lean ground beef
2 tsp cooking oil

3x 14 oz. Tomato sauce
1/2 cup finely chopped green pepper
4 tbsp. finely chopped onion
2 tsp granulated sugar
1 tsp garlic salt
1/2 tsp oregano
1/8 tsp pepper

CHEEESE MIXTURE
2 cups Cottage cheese
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
1 egg
1 Tbsp. parsley flakes
1/8 tsp pepper

2 cups. Grated mozzarella cheese

Directions:
In large uncovered saucepan or Dutch oven cook noodles in boiling water, cooking oil and salt until tender but firm, about 14 to 16 minutes. Drain.

Meat sauce: Scramble fry ground beef in cooking oil in large saucepan until browned.
Add next 7 ingredients to meat . simmer slowly, uncovered, for 20 minutes

Cheese Mixture: in small bowl combine cottage cheese, Parmesan cheese, egg, parsley flakes and pepper. Mix well.

to assemble, layer in greased 9 x 13 inch ( 22 x 33cm ) pan as follow:

1. Layer of noodles
2. One-half meat sauce
3. Cheese mixture
4. Layer of noodles
5. One -half meat sauce
6. Mozzarella cheese

Bake uncovered in 350F (180c) oven about 45 to 55 minutes until nicely browned. Let stand 10 minutes before cutting. cuts into 12 pieces.
