INGREDIENTS

5 slices diced bacon
1⁄2 cup diced celery
2/3 cup diced onion
1⁄2 cup diced green pepper
1⁄2 cup diced carrot
4 tablespoons flour
2 cups clam juice
2 cups water or chicken broth
1 2/3 cup diced potato
1 (28 ounce) can chopped tomatoes
1 can tomato paste
2 (8 ounce) can baby clams, -undrained
2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp Tabasco sauce
1/2 tsp thyme
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp fresh parsley
salt and white pepper

Directions:
Directions:
In a large saucepan, over medium heat, saute bacon until light brown.
Add celery, onions, green pepper and carrots and cook until tender.
Blend in flour and simmer 5 minute Stir in clam juice, water and potatoes; simmer 15 minute.
Add tomatoes, tomato paste, and baby clams and cook an additional 10 minute.
Season with thyme, worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper
