Ingredients:
Ingredients:
5 Egg yolks
3 Tbsp sugar
3 Tbsp sour cream
grated lemon rind
1 Tbsp brandy
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp almond extract
1/4 tsp salt
2 21/2 Cups flour

Blend yolks and sugar until smooth. Stir in sour cream, brandy and extracts. Stir in flour that has been sifted with the salt. Knead dough lightly on floured board. Divide dough into 3 or 4 pieces to make it easier to roll. Roll out very thin. cut into 2x4 strips. Slit center and twist into knot. Deep fry until lightly brown. DRain on brown paper or paper towels. Dust with powder sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Be sure your oil is hot enough to fry but not too hot to burn! Test by dropping a piece of dough in. If it's ready the dough should pop to surface in a minute or two. Probably easiest to have everything rolled, cut and twisted before you start frying if you're doing this by yourself. Easiest to have other people help, someone to roll, someone to twist, someone to fry. Oh, and someone to keep telling stories and get you drinks!

Not sure if anyone would ever want to make these but since it's one of the only recipes I have from my mother I had to add it! Hope the Bandomer girls remember making these together a couple times at Christmas!
