Pastry for 2 crust 10" pie
1 c cup sugar
1/4 cup flour
1 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1/4 tsp salt
8 cups sliced and pared baking apples
4 T butter
Coarse decorating sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 425 degrees
Combine sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt. Coat apples with mixture.
Heap in pastry lined pie pan. Dot with butter. Adjust top crust and flute edges.
Sprinkle top with decorating sugar; cut vents. Bake 50 - 60 minutes or until crust is golden brown. Cool on rack
