Ingredients: 1 1/4 cups all purpose flour 1/2 cup confectioners sugar 1 1/2 cups sweet butter 5 tbsp corn syrup Chocolate chips 1 14oz can condensed milk 1 tsp vanilla 7 oz semisweet chocolate 1 tbsp safflower oil

Directions:Preheat oven to 350 degrees, oil pan. Sift flour and confectioners sugar together in bowl, then cut in 1 cup butter until mixture starts to come together. Press dough down into base of pan. Bake for 10 minutes then put in preferred number of chocolate chips and press in. Then bake for another 10 minutes or until golden. For caramel, melt remaining butter in microwave and stir in corn syrup and condensed milk. Microwave on high for 8-9 minutes stirring every 1 minute. (Tip- never go for 2 minutes. It will over flow in microwave.) stir in vanilla and spread over warm shortbread. Refrigerate for 2 hours until firm. Melt chocolate in microwave on low heat, then stir in safflower oil. Spread caramel and refrigerate for 15 minutes. - she doubled up on all ingredients |
