Ingredients:  
4 cups rhubarb (cut)
CRUNCH
1 cup flour
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup butter or margarine
3/4 cup oatmeal.
Mix flour, sugar and butter and then add oatmeal.
SAUCE
1 cup white sugar mixed with 2 tablespoons cornstarch.
Add 1 cup boiling water and 1 teaspoon vanilla and stir well.

Directions:
Directions:
Line pan (about 9 inch square) with 1/2 of the crunch.
Add rhubarb, pour over this the sauce. Then cover with
rest of crunch. Bake 1 hour at 350 degrees.

Variations:
Replace 1 cup of rhubarb with pineapple. Any preferred combination may be used.
Serve plain, with whipped cream or ice cream
