7 pounds of medium cucumbers (about 14 medium cucumbers)
4 cups of water
2 cups of vinegar (5% acidity)
½ cup of kosher dill pickle mix
4 quart preserving jars with lids and bands

Directions:
Directions:
Cut ends of cucumbers and cut into spears. Place in large bowl.

In 8-quart stainless steel pot, combine water, vinegar, and kosher dill pickle mix. Heat over medium-high heat and bring to boil. Pour hot pickling liquid over cucumber spears in a large bowl. Cool to room temperature (about 30 minutes).

Pack cucumber spears into jars, ladle pickling liquid over cucumbers. Place lids and bands on jars.
