4 ½ cups of pitted, peeled, and crushed plums (about 5 pounds of plums)
7 ½ cups of white sugar
1 teaspoon of butter (helps reduce foaming)
1 (3 ounce) pouch of liquid pectin

Directions:
Directions:
In an 8-quart stainless-steel pan, over medium-high heat, combine plums, sugar, and butter, stirring constantly, until sugar is completely dissolved. Bring to full rolling boil, stirring constantly. Stir in the pectin. Return to full rolling boil, stirring constantly. Boil for 1 minute. Remove from heat, and ladle into prepared jars.
