¾ cup (1.5 sticks) unsalted butter
3 (10 oz) bags mini marshmallows
2 tsp pure vanilla extract
⅛ tsp salt
10 cups crispy rice cereal

Grease a 9x13 casserole pan with butter, set aside.

In a large bowl, add 10 c. of cereal and set aside

In a large sauce pan, melt butter slowly on LOW heat. Be careful not to burn your butter. Then add 2 bags of mini marshmallows and stir constantly until completely melted.

Remove from heat, add vanilla and salt and combine well. Carefully pour mixture over cereal, working quickly to combine. Add the last bag of marshmallows to the mix, being careful to not overmix or melt them too much.

Pour mixture into prepared pan. You may use a buttered spatula to press them down or wet hands under very cold water and then push down into pan. The cold water will prevent sticking. Do not press them down too much, just spread them out lightly to prevent them from becoming dense. Allow to cool at room temperature for at least 1 hour before serving. Store in an airtight container.
