1 cup shortening
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup white sugar
2 eggs
2 TBSP water
1 tsp vanilla
1 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
3 cups old fashioned oatmeal
1 package chocolate chips or nuts (or both)

Directions:
Directions:
Mix butter and sugars until creamy. Stir in eggs, water and vanilla. Add dry ingredients, oats, and chocolate chips and/or nuts. Drop from teaspoon onto greased or lined baking sheet. Bake at 375 for 10 until golden brown.
