1 c. Basmati Rice
2 c. Chicken Broth or Water
2 tbsp. oil
1 tbsp. Tomato Paste
1/2 to 1 tsp. of Cumin, Garlic powder, and pepper.
1 small bell pepper and onion diced, if desired

Directions:
Directions:
Over medium heat, Brown the Rice in the oil until just toasted.
Add broth/water and tomato paste. Add seasonings and vegetables if desired.
Bring to a boil, Reduce heat to low
Cover with lid and simmer for 15 minutes.
Let stand 5 minutes after done.
Fluff with a fork and serve.

DO NOT OPEN LID WHILE SIMMERING!!
If you open the lid the rice will not cook properly!
