Directions:1. Preheat oven to 350º F. Mix cream cheese, sugar, egg yolks, vanilla and lemon juice together and set aside. Spread one package of the crescent sheets in an 11 X 7 X 2 inch pan. If you are using crescent rolls, firmly press perforations to seal. The crescent sheets are so much easier to use. Pour cheese mixture over top. Place other crescent sheet on top of mixture. Do not seal the crescent sheets or rolls together. Beat egg white until frothy. Brush on top of cake. Bake at 350º for 30 minutes. Once cool, sprinkle with powdered sugar. |

Notes: I got this recipe from my sister years ago. It is one of my all-time favorites. I always get requests for this recipe. I would always serve it at my annual Ladies Christmas Brunches and it was always a hit! People always want to know what the crust is made of. Now that Pillsbury has made Crescent Sheets, it is so much easier to make!! At times, it was hard to find the crescent sheets, but I believe most grocery stores are now carrying it. I think you will really enjoy this recipe!!
