1 cube butter
6 crushed graham crackers
12 oz semi sweet chocolate chips
8 oz butterscotch chips
2 cups coconut flakes
1 ½ cup chopped walnuts or pecans
1 can sweetened Eagle Brand condensed Milk

Directions:
Directions:
Place butter in a 9 x 13 baking pan. Place pan in oven while preheating oven to 350º. Melt butter until it starts to turn brown. Remove from oven. Sprinkle crushed graham crackers evenly over melted butter. Layer chocolate chips, coconut and nuts over graham crackers. Drizzle sweetened condensed milk over top. Bake 30-40 minutes until browned.

Cool completely and cut into bars.

Bernie was a long time friend of mom’s (Earlene Cory), beginning with their employment at Sears in the 60’s, so we’ve always called these “Bernie’s” cookies.
