Directions:
Add milk butter, salt, sugar, & egg to a large bowl & mix well. In a separate bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water. Add 2 cups of flour to the milk mixture and mix. Add yeast mixture and mix. Then add the rest of flour, one cup at a time and mix well. Stop adding flour once mixture is no longer sticky. Put on a floured board and knead until smooth. Put in a buttered bowl and let rise until doubled. Punch down and knead good.

Roll out dough to ~1/4" thickness. Melt butter and mix in cinnamon & sugar. Spread butter mixture onto dough. Cut in strips, fold over and twist into a figure eight. Butter the bottom of the pan. Put rolls in pan, cover, put in a warm place and let rise for 30 minutes.

Bake at 350º for 20-25 minutes.

Mix milk, vanilla & powdered sugar. Pour over rolls as soon as they are removed from the oven.

Personal Notes:
Grandma always made the best cinnamon twists. I don't ever remember them being rolls but always twists. This is a modification of the standard roll recipe and will be adjusted as it's perfected. Kim
