1 stick butter (4 ozs.)
3/8 cup sugar
Pinch salt
2 cups milk
5 cups flour
2 pkgs. dry yeast
2 eggs
Peel of 1 lemon

Directions:
Directions:
Heat butter, sugar, salt, and milk in pan almost to boiling. Cool till lukewarm. Add flour yeast eggs and lemon peel and beat about 20 minutes with a wooden spoon till dough loosens from bowl. Let rise about 2 hours.

Roll out and fill. Bake 375º for 1/2 hour to 35 min.

You make donuts with the same dough.

Fill the nussbrot with egg whites beaten with sugar till stiff. Spread on dough and top with ground nuts and some raisins. Roll. Let rise till double. Then bake 375º for about 30 to 35 min.
