2 3/4 c all-purpose flour
1 T baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp baking soda
4 oz cream cheese, chilled and cut into 1/2 inch pieces
1 c buttermilk


Honey Butter
1 c butter
1/4 c honey

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 450º.

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Using a pastry blender, cut in butter and cream cheese until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in buttermilk until just combined.

Turn dough out onto a floured surface and knead just until dough comes together . Do not overwork the dough. Roll out to 1/2 - 3/4 inch thick. Cut with a biscuit cutter.Place biscuits on a greased baking sheet.

Bake 10-15 minutes, until golden brown.

Meanwhile, melt 1 cup butter and stir in honey until well combined. Brush baked biscuits with honey butter, then return to oven for 5 more minutes.

Cool on wire rack 5 minutes before serving.

Buttermilk = 1 c milk with 1 TBSP vinegar or lemon juice, let stand 15 minutes; overnight is better.
