1 quart milk
8 Tbsp. flour
8 Tbsp. water
3 C. sugar
8 egg yolks
1 quart cream
4 tsp. vanilla
almond flavor, if desired

Directions:
Directions:
1. In a double boiler, scald milk. Mix flour and water to a smooth paste, add slowly to milk. Cook about 15 minutes.
2. Add sugar and egg. Cook 2 more minutes. Strain in through a sieve. If it curdles that's good. Chill in refrigerator or freezer or make night before. Add almond flavoring if desired.
