2 cups milk
2 cups half & half
1 tablespoons butter
1 (12-oz) jar raw oysters, cut up (or 2 8-oz cans)
Seasonings to taste

Heat milk & cream together until film shimmers over surface; don’t boil. In separate pan, heat oysters with liquid butter and a dash of Worcestershire, if you like. Heat just until oysters plump up and their edges begin to curl….no more! Combine milk and hot oysters. Season with salt, pepper, and celery salt if desired. Serve at once.
