1 stick of butter
1 c milk
1 c sugar
1 c self-rising flour*
1 large can of sliced peaches


*If you don't have self-rising flour, use 1 cup of all purpose flour, 1-1/2 tsp baking powder and 1/2 tsp salt

Directions:
Directions:
Melt butter in 9 X 13 dish by placing in oven until melts.

Mix together the milk, sugar and flour. Drain peaches and put in dish with melted butter. Pour ingredients on top of peaches and bake at 350º-400º until golden brown.

When Dad and I last visited Dennis and Claudette before he died, his sister was there and had made this cobbler. It was delicious so I asked her for the recipe.

Apparently, the southern way to bake is to just watch your dish; no bake time was given
