5 Eggs
½ c. Sugar
1 tsp. Vanilla
¼ tsp. Salt
4 c. Bread Cubes (½" cubes)
4 c. Scalded Milk (Milk heated almost to a boil, then removed from heat)
½ c. Raisins
Cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
Butter a 1½ quart shallow baking dish. Spread bread cubes in baking dish and sprinkle with raisins. Combine eggs, sugar, vanilla and salt until mixed. Slowly stir in scalded milk, so as to not scramble the eggs. Continue stirring as the mixture is poured over bread cubes and raisins. Sprinkle top with cinnamon.

Set baking dish into larger pan with about 1" of hot water in the bottom. Bake in a 350º oven for about 1 hour, until set. A knife inserted into center will come out clean.
