2 ¾ c Flour
1 tsp Baking Soda
½ tsp Baking Powder
1 c Butter, soft
1 ½ c Sugar
1 Egg
1 tsp Vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Beat together butter and sugar; add beaten egg and vanilla. Stir flour and baking powder together then mix into butter mixture until just incorporated. Form into a disc and wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least an hour.

When ready to use, remove from refrigerator and allow dough to warm to room temperature. Roll dough on a floured surface to ¼ inch thick. Cut cookies and place on ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake from 8-12 minutes. Centers should be firm and edges not yet browning. Transfer to wire rack and allow to cool.
