Red cabbage
Bacon
Margarine
Apples
Water
Red wine
Cloves, whole (a few)
Mustard seed
Peppercorns
2-3 TBSP vinegar

Directions:
Directions:
Slice red cabbage and sauté in bacon that has been cut up and cooked slightly. Add margarine if necessary to keep from burning. Peel and cut up several apples and add to cabbage. Place small amount of water and red wine, a few cloves of mustard seed and peppercorns, simmer until done. Add two to three TBSP of vinegar just before serving (to taste).
