1/4 cup butter

2 lb beef sirloin cut into 3 x 2 x 1/4 inch strips (I used beef stew meat cut into bite-sized pieces)

1 cup onion, chopped

2 cloves garlic minced

1 can condensed cream of mushroom soup

1 carton (8oz) sliced mushrooms

1/2 teaspoon salt (I used 1 teaspoon Johnny's Aus Jus- dry mix)

1/4 teaspoon pepper

4 oz cubed cream cheese

8 oz sour cream

6 cups hot cooked noodles or rice

1. In 12 inch skillet melt butter over med-high heat. Add beef strips, onion and garlic. Cook 7 to 9 minutes or until beef is browned.

2. In 3 1/2 to 4 1/2 quart slow cooker,, mix beef mixture, soup, mushrooms, Aus Jus and pepper.

3. Cover and cook on low 5 to 6 hours until beef is tender.

4. Stir in cream cheese and mix well until melted. Add sour cream until well blended.

5. I mixed 1 tablespoon cornstarch with 1/4 cup beef broth and mixed well and added to dish and cooked until it thickened up a little.

Serve over noodles

I used 1 lb meat and 8 oz mushrooms. I used 1/2 cup onion and 1 clove garlic. I used the whole can of mushroom soup and 1 teaspoon of Aus Jus and 1/8 t. peper. I finished with 3/4 cup sour cream and 2 oz cream cheese and thickened with cornstarch 1 tablespoon in 1/4 cup beef broth...Delish!
